Look who’s back, it’s Leo for their 5th Grassroots show. Leo is excited to finally be evil and would like to apologize to his mom and all the women in the audience for my words and deeds. In their spare time, they love to tinker with 3ds’s and watch Wrestlemania 40 (again)
Stacie has been a Grassroots fan for many years, but this will be her first time on stage with the company! She enjoys swinging on swing sets, attending large obnoxious gatherings of people for any occasion including no occasion, and is currently obsessed with playing Powerwash Simulator. The ding it makes when something is clean is oh so satisfying. Oh and they also like reading. Like a lot. Listening to an audiobook while playing Powerwash simulator is a match made in heaven. That’s all the important points! The End
Houston is super excited for his first show with Grassroots Shakespeare, and can't wait to be in the show and not just cheering on from the audience. Houston has most recently gotten the chance to play Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew and is excited to get back on stage again.
Ash can’t believe he’s doing this show. While he hasn’t seen or done a Grassroots show prior to this he’s excited to jump in and be a part of the Halloween show. Ash loves Shakespeare and dramatic shows so he jumped at the opportunity to audition for a show like this. He has only done one full Shakespeare production playing four roles in Macbeth portraying First Witch, Second Murderer, Lennox, and Malcom. You might recognize him from his role as Bruce in Lone Peak High School’s production of Matilda which he was nominated for top 10 best cameo in the 2024 Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards. He loves art and reading. He is currently attending UVU and is excited to make his way into the next stage of his life.
Ethan is excited for his first performance with the Grassroots Shakespeare Company! He has always had a love for shakespeare after first competing in SUU's Shakespeare festival in the 8th grade. His most recent productions have been School of Rock and Romeo and Juliette with the Creekside Theater Fest. He is currently studying computer science at BYU and is an aspiring screenwriter. He wants to thank everyone who has encouraged him along the way and helped him feel like he can make a difference in the world.
This will be the first time Alyssa has performed a non-Shakespeare show in quite a while. Going on year four with Grassroots, you might have most recently seen her during the summer tour as Hermia (the short one) from A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as the Educational Tour's Twelfth Night (Malvolio), Hamlet (Horatio/Polonius), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero/Don John), and Macbeth (too many characters). If you do not enjoy this show she will have her revenge.
The Revenger's Tragedy is not only Kirsten's Grassroots debut, it's also the first time she's been on stage in 10 years! If you've been around since then, you may remember her as Volumnia in her high school production of Coriolanus. While she had taken a hiatus from the stage, she never lost her love of performing. By day, you can find Kirsten as a Software Engineer (we love a woman in STEM). By night, you can likely find her around a table playing Dungeons and Dragons. If you're very lucky, you might find her flitting about in your dreams, poking around, looking for your deepest secrets. Keep iron by your bed tonight.
Andrew is making his Grassroots debut, but is no stranger to Shakespeare: In addition to playing Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Alaska Fine Arts and Macbeth in Macbeth at BYU, His most memorable acting experience came when he took a real pickaxe to the face while playing Hamlet, (the gravediggers really shouldn't have left those lying around). When not performing, you can find Andrew directing his middle school theatre students, playing Stardew Valley, or staring haplessly into the void and contemplating the futility of human existence.
Courtney is thrilled to be on stage for yet another Grassroots production. Previously seen at GSC in Cymbeline as Cymbeline, Macbeth as Malcolm, Romeo and Juliet as Paris, and one of the company’s resident photographers. When not working with Grassroots they can be found with UVU’s Hot Tea improv taking even more pictures, and in Anastasia with Draper Historic Theater this December. They are also earning a Bachelors of Science in Geology at UVU and an Associates of Science in Theater performance. In their (nonexistent) free time they like to watch cartoons and cuddle with their dog Lili and on the rare occasion, sleep.
Jessie found a love for all things Shakespeare at thirteen when she watched Much Ado About Nothing for the first time. She has been following The Grassroots Shakespeare Company since she was 15 and is stoked to finally be in a show ten years later. Jessie's most recent role was as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream at OPPA. She would like to thank her husband for holding down the house so she can run away to fulfill her acting dreams, and her kids for being the cutest beings on planet Earth.
Jessie Anne has finally graduated as the biggest fan of Grassroots Shakespeare Co (a title she claimed for herself by getting engaged to a member of the company) to finally being in her first production with them. She is best known for her role of doing way too many things and horrifying her friends, but she has also been seen in various productions and short films in the area, most recently as Candy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. When not onstage, set, at work, or dragging her fiancé and friends on ill-planned adventures, you might find her actually working on her master’s degrees. Definitely not sleeping. She is thrilled to die on stage for the first time.
Brielle is so excited to be making her Grassroots debut! They are currently working on their BFA in musical theatre at UVU and appeared most recently in their stage production and documentary, In Good Faith. She loves the stage with all her heart and can’t wait to share it with so many lovely people, and then cover it in lots of blood! When not on the stage or in school, they can be found snuggling with their cat Soup or spending time with loved ones!
Grace is ecstatic to perform with Grassroots for the first time ever! She would like first and foremost ask for Gary’s forgiveness for forgetting to send her bio and, begs the orb for mercy. Boy oh boy does Grace love Shakespeare!! Some of her favorite Shakespeare roles have been Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Katherine in Taming of the Shrew and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing. She’s currently a senior in the acting BFA at UVU and is looking forward to receiving her piece of paper in the spring. She sincerely hopes you all enjoy this bloody show.
Gary has a general zest for life and enjoys making pleasant and soothing sonances. This is all generally incompatible with this show. Gary truly hates this show. Gary thinks blood and guts and murder and general unpleasantness is gross and we should alternatively all bathe in the sunshine and give each other hugs and ice cream. Instead, he is here with the blood and the gore and all the stabbing and such. Just... ewe. Why.

Chase is on a quest to find the dragon that slaughtered his village and vanquish the beast. Along the way Chase has found a cheeky Owlbear, a fish in reverse-scuba gear named Hat-Hat and a geriatric that is permanently on fire to aid him in his quest. Once Chase has slain the beast they can go back to their day job of reading one-letter poems to wealthy divorcees.

Kira Halterman is actually just 12 ill-tempered sentient sunsets in a trenchcoat trying to get into a dirty movie. If Kira ever does find the stone of Xanthun Gum, she will use it to clear the curse that was put upon these lands all those millennia ago. Everybody wish Kira luck as they compete in burrito eating regionals.

Bethanuel Cheese McGriddle (TM) was raised deep in the core of the earth by the mole people of legend. When Beth was a teenager, she challenged the underworld King for passage to the overworld. No one had made such a challenge to the king in 4,000 years, but times had become desperate as the overworlders activities above brought the underworld kingdom to the brink of destruction. Emerging victorious, Beth has come here to right that which the arrogance of humans has torn asunder, i.e., take names and kick ass, so watch out
